The Central Hotel has been a cornerstone of Llandudno’s seafront since the late 1800s, originally built during the Victorian era when the town flourished as a fashionable seaside retreat. Over the decades, the building has witnessed the evolution of tourism in North Wales—from horse-drawn carriages and grand holidaymakers, to modern-day adventurers exploring the Great Orme and local coastline.

During World War II, like many buildings in Llandudno, the hotel played a vital role in supporting the war effort, offering temporary accommodation for evacuated civilians and visiting service members. Its sturdy Victorian construction and central location made it a safe and dependable space in uncertain times.

In the years that followed, the hotel passed through several owners, each adding their own chapter to its story while maintaining its classic charm. Today, under new local ownership, the Central Hotel has been lovingly refurbished—combining period features with contemporary comfort to create a welcoming atmosphere that feels both timeless and fresh.
